I wanted to call your attention to an amazing opportunity coming in September of 2019.
The 2019 BIMForum will be held right here in the great city of St. Louis! The event is planned for September 16-18, 2019 and will be held at the Hyatt Regency Downtown by the Arch.
The call for proposals for the event is now open and this is a great opportunity to showcase how the St. Louis area is using technology enabled workflows and collaboration strategies to improve our delivery methods and build better facilities for our clients. This is also a great conference to learn how other firms across our country are improving their practices.
The link to the Call for Proposals is below and they are looking to showcase the following:
BIMForum is looking to highlight case studies of how the building community is driving quantitative and qualitative outcomes through the development of model-centric workflows that address the entire design-build-operate continuum. In addition, we’re seeking to better understand the current cultural shifts and revisit the “human side of BIM” from past BIMForums. This will enable us to drive a better understanding of leadership qualities and strategies needed to produce the return on investment of BIM that comes from the refinement of traditional workflows and business practices as well as the growth of collaborative project delivery strategies. In the spirit of the conference being in the “Show Me State,” preference will be given to those presentations capable of demonstrating tangible examples of how metric-based results were achieved within the areas of interest defined above. Additional areas of interest are case studies on the following:
- Model-centric workflows, model reliability, less reliance on drawings.
- The scalability of a BIM to address project delivery models beyond Design-Bid-Build, such as Design-Build, Design Assist and IPD.
- Legal challenges of BIM, what went wrong?
- Advances in BIM contract language.
- Implementation of BIM Execution Plans.
- Standards for the use of BIM and data throughout the lifecycle of projects.
